Just got my 5230 this week.  Using my T-Mobile prepaid sim in it right now (which I used in my previous phone without problems).  I can send text messages without problems but, when I attempt to send a photo with the text, it tells me "network settings unavailable".  I've always been able to send pics with previous phones, even cheap old $20 Nokia garbage, throw aways.  Could someone tell me what is wrong?

Hello! I guess you need to activate your GPRS and MMS Setting first for you to be able to send media files, maximum of 300kb in s5230. But if your sending larger files, you can use the blutooth, not unless if the recipient is in a far place. To activate GPRS setting on smart, type in write message: GPRS ON, then send it to 3401. To receive an OTA, type: SET GPRS SAMS5230, then send to 211. For Globe, text: GO S5230,,1234 and then send to 2951. For SUN, its the same with the Globe. I hope this helps. Make sure you have a balance load when you do these.
